안산시 City of Ansan

-Signed an MOU on Science and Technology Cooperation with Aachen Special District of Germany in May 2017, and established a friendly cooperative city relationship in April 2019

-Signed a business agreement with the Korea-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry in November 2020. (Supporting joint ventures’ entry into the global market)

▲ Joint planning and operation of domestic and international promotional events for attracting investments to Ansan City

▲ Rapid “one-stop administrative services” support for German local companies and Korea-Germany Chamber of Commerce member companies when investing in Ansan City

With its unique status as the only UN Peace Culture Special Zone in the world, this city is building an exchange network with 36 cities in 16 countries under the theme of ‘the City at the Heart of World Peace’.

-Since 2020, initiatives such as the ‘Glocal Knowledge Forum’ to find answers to a sustainable future city, the ‘International Finance Conference’ to strengthen the competitiveness of Yeouido as an international financial hub, and the ‘International Medical Tourism Forum’ to activate the Yeongdeungpo Smart Medical Special Zone have been actively pursued.

City of Changwon, The Central City of Northeast Asia

– Leading substantive and multi-faceted international cooperation with the goal of realizing a ‘Global Pivot City’ through the expansion of international city exchanges and collaborations.

-Signed an International Friendship City Agreement with Baltimore, USA, in 2019 and have had exchanges in various fields such as youth, culture, and art.

-During COVID-19, this city provided them with the chance to directly engage in art and attend the simultaneous exhibition opening in both Changwon and Baltimore, offering them a variety of cultural program experiences

An exchange activity between Changwon and Baltimore in the USA was themed ‘Blooming Rainbow, Children's Drawing Exchange Exhibition’.

‘Blooming Rainbow’ means ‘a flowering rainbow,’ symbolizing the hope that children's free dreams and individuality will bloom like a rainbow.
